What’s On in Málaga This Week (5–10 May 2026): Hidden Patios, Rooftop Jazz & Global Flavours

A new week in Málaga means a new mix of things to do, see and experience. From live music and open-air theatre to food festivals, creative workshops and local traditions, the city offers plenty of ways to shape your days—whether you’re planning ahead or just looking for something spontaneous after work.

This week is all about options: quiet cultural moments, social evenings, family-friendly activities and weekend escapes beyond the city. You can start your week with an intimate concert, wander through historic neighbourhood patios, spend an afternoon at the book fair, or end it at a creative market or food festival.

Whether you want to stay in the city centre or explore a bit further, there’s something happening every day. Here are the highlights.

Monday

La Bien Querida: An Intimate Acoustic Comeback to Málaga

Missed La Bien Querida last time at the Teatro Cervantes? No pasa nada—she’s back, and this time even more special. This Monday, she performs a free, intimate concert at the Sala Fundación Unicaja María Cristina, offering a rare chance to experience her music up close.

Known for her unique blend of indie pop, electronic sounds, and traditional Spanish influences, La Bien Querida (real name Ana Fernández-Villaverde) has become one of the most distinctive voices in Spain’s music scene. Her songs often explore themes of love, heartbreak, and emotional vulnerability—with a style that feels both nostalgic and modern.

This concert strips everything back: just her voice, acoustic instruments, and the atmosphere of a beautiful historic venue. Expect a more personal, raw version of her music—perfect for a slow, reflective start to the week.
