Málaga, known for its beaches, also attracts filmmakers with its stunning architecture and landscapes, making it a captivating film set.
Nestled in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Málaga is not just a renowned tourist destination known for its beaches and gastronomy; it also has attracted a generous number of directors and producers from around the world.
Málaga: A Less Known Film Set
Although Málaga is less known and less frequently used as a filming location compared to other Andalusian provinces like Sevilla, which features the famous Plaza de España – an ideal setting for a scene in “Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones” (2002)- it boasts fascinating architecture, breathtaking landscapes, and a pleasant Mediterranean climate.
These qualities have made Málaga a backdrop for several films and TV series.
Red Notice (2022)

In this action movie, Interpol agent John Hartley (played by Dwayne Johnson) is tasked with capturing the world’s most wanted art thief, Nolan Booth (portrayed by Ryan Reynolds).

Men who hate women (2006)
