One week of techno in Malaga- DJ sets from June 10th to the 17th

Marking a progression in the weekly reports, this section is all about finding the right places for an expat to connect with more and more people who share a common love for high BPMs and even higher-quality entertainment. Each week, we are slowly mapping Malaga’s clubs, venues, event houses, and raver-friendly locations, providing a clear image to those who are faithful to electronic music and facilitating their decision-making process through this easy guide. We are exploring Malaga and the regional metropolis together, as we go.

If you take a look at the promotional posts of the most-followed Instagram pages of event houses or collectives, or if you dive into your photo album on your phone (in case you were a very attentive raver in the past months), you should know all the best places by now… Which Malaga’s staples in the clubbing experience, are up and running this week?

THURSDAY 13/06 Fiebre Club

From 3.00 – 6.00 at The Club

Starting in an unorthodox way by first introducing the afterparty before even mentioning the event, just to better emphasize the significance of a decent after-ritual. In fact, afters can be even more enjoyable and anticipated than the club experience. To maximize your chances for a positive finale to your night, I recommend the Fiebre Club community that runs afterparty services. Enriching the clubbing experience, apart from their classic event every Thursday from 23:00-3:00 at Velvet Club in Centro Historico, they have added afters in order to leave their mark in the collective Malaga raving history.

Greatly contributing to the evolution of the Andalusian electronic scene, Studio Club holds the record for the most consistent weekly presence; featuring DJs with international appeal, making it the easiest bet when choosing an event. This week’s selectors who are going to be playing at Torremolinos’ hottest location are as follows:

FRIDAY NIGHT 14.06 until dawn, next day

Filling the gap for ultra-rhythmic industrial, the Blackworks visionary DEXPHASE not only made his Boiler Room debut earlier this year, but his hyper-sonorous hard techno beats have also quickly established him and his reputation. Therefore, to better understand the course of his impact, it is necessary to position his name alongside artists of the same scale. Having shared a stage with musical geniuses such as Brutalismus 3000, I Hate Models, and Hector Oaks, there is nothing further to be said. However, he is not the only artist worth mentioning in Friday’s sequence… PAULA KASBAEH and CARV, with his signature mask, are bringing forth a hardstyle techno, able to make the floors rumble.

DO NOT FORGET: This Friday (14/06), at The Club also, eagerly awaited artists from Granada are going to partake in an event, under the Etika Sound organization, inspired by the Boiler Room platform. This is going to be a hard choice to make, for your Friday night-out!

SATURDAY 15.06, Two Rooms available at Studio Club
Different artists are gonna occupy the club, which will be devided in the Main Room and the Gallery one,  to ensure variety, covering the spectrum of people’s versatile tastes and minimizing an overall sense of dullness.
As for Main Room, the vibe is going to be Techhouse, a hybrid of the two most beloved electronic genres. The producer and eternal-raver BEN RAU, with roots to both Germany and England, two of the countries with the most significant history of the Techno scene, is making an apperance. As well as greek DETLEF and Chicago born and raised Cole Knight.
And in the Gallery room there will be a live DJ set by artist Nur Nur and M.E.M.O.
