A special event dedicated to dancing, honouring the body and its movement, takes place at June 8th.
Have you been in Malaga for some time now and still have not visited most of the museums and cultural spaces around the city? Here is your chance to finally do so. This is your reminder to enter the “Cubo” building, which you have been staring at repeatedly, since you had your first stroll in El puerto (the port).
Mark June 8th in your callendar,as “The Night of Dance”. Because, by the late evening, at 19.00 o’clock sharp, the main performance “Entrée a dos” shall begin. Placing focus on duets, body-to-body interaction, the performers will guide the audience around the meaning of coupledom and partnership in art. The program features three duets, choreographed by Meritxell Barberá and Inma García, under the company Taiat Dansa. To further describe it what’s behind the performances’s vision; it is a matchmaking of “[t]heory and reflection creat[ing] on-stage pieces that warn of the disparity between the history of art and a particular history for dance”.
Then, since you are at a museum, the good people from Centre Pompidou, did not wanna let you leave their institution without having a taste of the displayed artwork. Therefore, right after the performances there is a chance for everyone to visit the current exhibition Carlos Cruz-Diez. El color en movimiento. The hours available to do that will be between 20.15 and then at 21.15. Mediacion will also be at your dispense if you need it.
