Expat review

A Chill Workday at Shanao Café

I decided to work remotely from Shanao Café, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a productive yet laid-back day. I grabbed a cozy table inside, set up my laptop, and immediately felt at home in the relaxed atmosphere. The music was fun but not too loud, just enough to keep the vibe upbeat without being distracting. For lunch, I ordered a bocadillo with “chapata multicereal” and turkey (“pavo”), which was absolutely delicious—fresh, light, and exactly what I needed to fuel a few more hours of work. Paired with a smooth coffee with milk, I was set. The service was quick and friendly, and the free Wi-Fi worked like a charm, so no complaints there! The terrace outside had a totally different vibe—people were chilling with beers, chatting with friends, and enjoying the sunny day. I saw a group of students working on a project, and an international crew catching up on the other side. Inside, though, most people, like me, were deep in work mode. After four hours of productivity and soaking up the atmosphere, I decided to stretch my legs and take a walk down to the beach, which is just a short distance away. It was the perfect way to wind down and switch gears after a solid work session. Overall, Shanao Café is now one of my top spots for remote work in Málaga—great food, a mix of work and play vibes, and close to the beach. What more could you ask for?
