Do open-air festivals hit different in Malaga, where temperatures are already up and the people are always so eager and ready to party? Just as the degrees, Celsius are going up, so were the expectations for Adriatique’s performance. On May 11th, the Swiss producer and DJ duo went up the stage on Auditorio Municipal Cortijo de Torres and, delivered a proper closing to the Spring Season. Behind the event was the community of Brunch Electronic Malaga (@brunchmalaga). Just like every other event of Brunch Electronik, that is much anticipated and therefore, always sold-out, the same applied to this one. This particular event though had even more of a reason to get all the hype that followed on social media. Filling up this enormous venue, Adriatique the famous Swiss producer and DJs, were the “main act” of the event. Bringing forward their signature sound, a hybrid of melodic-minimal techno and, house, they elevated Brunch Electronic to an international standard. Complementing Adriatique was the malagueño Marino Canal, who was a perfect match for the duo, having had collaborated already in the past, on the album Siamese. Slowly but surely, this Malaga born and bread artist, made a name for himself within the industry, releasing music for established labels like MOOD. Without, letting the “ball drop”, his hypnotic narratives of melancholia and uniquely crafted soundscapes, were the perfect continuation to Adriatique’s melodies. All the while, keeping the audience on their toes, marking a wholesome clubbing experience.
