International Museum Day is organised by the International Council of Museums and intends to make culture accessible to all on a day that prioritises unity, education and accessibility for all.
This year’s theme is “Museums Uniting a Divided World”, where museums can act as bridges between people in a moment of political adversity. All share love for human expression in culture; this can open dialogue and understanding, so further communication in a divided world.
