Experience an evening of powerful contemporary dance with Carne de Baile – Ciclos at La Térmica on 12 March at 19:00 (Sala 005). This curated series brings together national creations that open the stage to non-normative bodies and new forms of representation, challenging traditional ideals of beauty, virtuosity and functionality in dance.
The featured performance, La Revisión, explores how gender codes shape Spanish dance and flamenco — both professionally and pedagogically. Through a process of questioning and reinterpreting established structures, the piece calls for a shift away from rigid norms, inviting audiences to see the body as a space of diversity, reflection and creative resistance.
