Monday
Enjoy five stunning documentaries during the Festival of Málaga
The Festival de Málaga has already been in full swing for a few days — and this is the perfect moment to slow down and immerse yourself in the documentary section of the program. In just 99 minutes, five short documentaries open the door to very different artistic perspectives, moving between memory, migration, spirituality, music and invisible labor.
Dreams for a Better Past explores the silent legacy of a single photograph, tracing generational power structures and ideological battles while questioning how we inherit memories we do not fully understand.
Toda la vida para siempre is an anthology of dreams from people who were forced to leave their homes, portraying Europe as a modern Tower of Babel where language divides, and longing becomes the only common ground.
Éter follows 96-year-old Branca in her quiet countryside home, where conversations about spirituality and memory slowly blur the boundaries between past and present, life and death, turning recollections into living matter.
Canciones Para Morir en La Habana paints a nocturnal portrait of Havana, capturing the soul of the city through the songs its inhabitants sing and listen to in the darkness.
Hulum (meaning “dream” or “what is hidden”) takes us into the greenhouses of Europe’s agricultural heartland, where workers move between dream and reality in a liminal space where time, nature and human aspiration seem suspended.

Contemporary dance out of this world in La Térmica
Experience an evening of powerful contemporary dance with Carne de Baile – Ciclos at La Térmica on 12 March at 19:00 (Sala 005). This curated series brings together national creations that open the stage to non-normative bodies and new forms of representation, challenging traditional ideals of beauty, virtuosity and functionality in dance.
The featured performance, La Revisión, explores how gender codes shape Spanish dance and flamenco — both professionally and pedagogically. Through a process of questioning and reinterpreting established structures, the piece calls for a shift away from rigid norms, inviting audiences to see the body as a space of diversity, reflection and creative resistance.

Try the best wines of Andalusia
Andalusia is not only known for its sun, flamenco and Jamón Ibérico, but also for its remarkable variety of wines. This Friday, you have the chance to discover many of them with the guidance of an experienced wine expert.
Almost every day, Pura Cepa offers wine tastings paired with tapas – also available in English. The Andalusian Wine Tasting is a unique experience that invites you to explore four wines from the region: a biologically aged wine, a fresh and vibrant white, a full-bodied red, and a classic sweet wine that delights the palate. Each wine is paired with a specially selected tapa. You can buy tickets here.
If you want to join, be quick — spots tend to sell out very fast. If you don’t manage to secure a ticket, don’t worry. You can always try again another day or create your own Andalusian wine experience. One of the best places to do so is Antigua Casa de Guardia, where traditional wines and tapas are served in an authentic atmosphere.
