Why now is the best time to visit La Rosaleda
La Rosaleda has been officially chosen as one of the venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. As a result, the stadium will undergo a major renovation starting in summer 2026, after the end of the 2025/26 season.
The new project aims to modernize the venue and increase its capacity to around 45,000 seats. During the works, Málaga CF will play home games at the Ciudad de Málaga Athletics Stadium. Many loyal fans—known as “Socios”—aren’t happy about leaving the historic ground, which makes visiting the stadium today even more special. It’s a rare chance to experience the original La Rosaleda before it transforms forever.
