For the summer to actually live up to the weight and responsibility that come together with the title of “Festival Season”, summer 2024 has actually delivered until now. Already counting two very very succesful techno festivals, the stakes are high and the marketabi;ity of the event is raised through the roof just like the names in the headlines, of the internationally-renowned DJs that are gonna be featured. Therefore, Málaga is set to host and preparev one of the most anticipated electronic music events of the year, the Sophie Festival.
Lineup and Dates
The Sophie Festival has chosen an impressive lineup of renowned artists from the electronic music scene. Here are some of the highlights:
The Festival kicked things off with a booked to its full capacity Opening party, at June 29th, with techno- house diva Nina Kraviz, the local industrial and ambient selector Oscar Mulero, and pioneer Richie Hawtin, were on the decks. After that, at the beginning of this month, at July 13th of July, names like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, and Hot Since 82 were taking over the music selection.

- August 3rd: Charlotte de Witte and Jeff Mills.
- August 14th: Loco Dice and Apollonia.
- September 7th: Closing Party with Solomun and Johannes Brecht1.
Venue and Experience
The outter space which hosts this year’s fire sets is in the Andalucian centre of Electronic Scene, which has been prove to be Torremolinos; more specifically it is taking place in the spacious layout provided by the venue of Jardines del Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos.

Creative ideas such as the Sophie Project are exceptional and precious. They give artists from all over the world who have a passion for techno and strive to build and evolve the Electronic Scene, in a manner they find fitting. They provide a meeting point for everyone who is interested to share their tunes, their mix and their vision in extension, can more easily do so. and connection. Although seemingly contrasting a more tech- generated audio- visual piece, is thought to contradict a more natural setting that is the element that the Garden Venue add to the mix but in fact they blend together, intertwinning so nicely that one would suggest they were created with the purpose to complement one another
