García emphasizes that it’s absolutely unacceptable to exclude visual health from the national health system. Moreover, she reminded the participants of how important it is to have both social and political consensus on this topic. Apparently, visual health was not the only one excluded from the healthcare system. Furthermore, oral health is also something that needs to be included as soon as possible, according to García. Which is why she invited government workers to all together work hard to make a change by 2025.
Residents of Spain are eager for this new initiative to come fully to life. Ensuring that every child in Spain has visual health support regarding their family’s financial income is a major step for the country.
